Verizon Forces Bing Search

An update by Verizon makes it so that the browser search bar on the Blackberry Storm 2 and “other devices” can only use Microsoft Bing.  Pretty convenient considering that they just signed a $500 million “search and ad deal” at the beginning of this year.  Apparently they don’t care about the inconvenience or disrespect to their users (actually, nevermind—they’ve never cared about their users).

Verizon: How Much Do You Charge Now?

Wait, no, let me start over.  David Pogue on Verizon’s recent (sharp!) increase in termination fees, and their policy of rounding up to the nearest megabyte (and charging you!) for any and all data use, even if you only accidentally invoke one of the data features of your phone.
